Our Plastic gastronorm container section includes more than 50 standard GN-sized containers for storing, transporting and presenting food in both professional kitchens and at home. Food-grade plastic is light, often transparent so preparations can be identified at a glance, and performs well at low temperatures in cold rooms. These containers belong to the wider Gastronorm section, part of the Kitchenware range.
Reference brands
- Paderno: polycarbonate and polypropylene GN containers for intensive use.
- Lacor: plastic gastronorm containers for storage and service.
- AZ Boutique: entry and mid-range references.
Choosing your plastic gastronorm container
Which GN size should you choose?
Containers follow the gastronorm standard (GN 1/1, GN 1/2, GN 1/3, etc.) with depths given in millimetres (65, 100, 150, 200 mm). A GN 1/1 base measures 530 x 325 mm: every model of the same format stacks and combines within standardised counters, cold rooms and refrigerated cabinets.
Which plastic should you favour?
Polycarbonate is transparent and resists impacts and a wide temperature range. Polypropylene, more economical, suits storage and freezing. Check the operating temperature range stated for each reference before use in a bain-marie or blast chiller.
Do you need a matching lid?
To stack, protect and limit drying out, pair your containers with a matching food pan lid. Stainless steel versions are available in our Stainless steel gastronorm container section, and perforated models in the Perforated Pan section.
