Single or double lever?

A double-lever waiter's corkscrew extracts the cork in two stages: a first notch starts the pull, the second finishes it without strain. It is the preferred format in catering as it limits wrist fatigue over many services. The single lever is lighter and is enough for occasional use.

Which finish for which use?

Stainless steel versions and treated handles cope better with frequent cleaning and being carried in an apron pocket. For occasional use, a simpler model is sufficient. You can also complete your set-up with a counter corkscrew, a bottle-opener or storage stoppers.
