The ideal shape of the glass was determined following a series of tastings in England and Austria, attended by leading Port experts from around the world. Thanks to this collective expertise, the RIEDEL Port glass captures the harmony and concentration of the wine's flavours.
Created in 1986 by Georg J. Riedel, the tenth generation of master glassmakers, the Vinum series is designed for wine lovers looking for a glass specifically adapted to a particular grape variety. Based on the shape of hand-made Sommeliers glasses, the Vinum series is machine-made, offering exceptional quality at a more affordable price. The port glass is machine-blown, ensuring unrivalled precision and uniformity compared to hand-made glass.
These glasses are ideal for a wide range of beverages, including Vin Liquoreux, Vintage Port, Tawny Port, Madeira, LBV (Late Bottled Vintage), Noilly Prat, Vermouth, Marsala and Colheita. What's more, these glasses are dishwasher-safe, so they'll make your everyday life a whole lot easier.
