Choosing your food pan lid
How do you check size compatibility?
The lid must match the container's GN format exactly: GN 1/1, GN 1/2, GN 1/3, GN 1/6, etc. Refer to the format stated on the container's product page and choose the lid with the same dimensional reference for a clean seal and stable stacking.
Solid or notched lid?
A solid lid provides secure closure for storage and conservation. A notched lid lets a ladle or spoon pass through and suits service and keeping food warm in a bain-marie. Some stainless steel models are oven-safe.
Which material for which use?
Stainless steel resists heat and intensive use; plastic is light and economical for storage. To complete your set-up, find the containers in our Stainless steel gastronorm container and Plastic gastronorm container sections.
