The 12 cm is for sweets and very short cocktails (verrines, dressed shots). The 20-21 cm is the versatile cocktail format. The 23.5 cm serves long drinks, thick smoothies and milkshakes: the length ensures the straw still protrudes above cream or crushed ice.

Which diameter for which preparation?

Ø 0.5-0.6 cm suits classic cocktails and watery drinks. Ø 0.8 cm is calibrated for smoothies, milkshakes and thick drinks that need stronger flow. Match diameter to consistency to avoid a straw that won't draw.

How to limit paper straw softening?

Paper straws stay rigid for one to two hours in a cold liquid, enough for the duration of service. For warm drinks (hot cocktails, mulled wine), avoid paper straws and prefer a compatible alternative. Do not reuse a paper straw after use.
